St James Catholic College offers our Kinder students learning experiences centred in play. We know that play helps children make sense of their world and by using the Early Years Learning Framework, our staff will guide your child’s play through stimulating learning activities in our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, assisting them to develop a strong sense of identity, connections with their world, wellbeing, confidence, problem solving, and effective communication skills. Through their holistic play experiences, students can develop a love of learning that is life-long.
Our highly qualified teachers and support staff provide children with rich learning experiences and opportunities through practices aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS). They are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Good News for Living Curriculum Framework (GNFL) and regularly provide quality feedback about learning and development. We design broad ranges of experiences to support children to achieve their best at school and work with parents in understanding the individual needs of students during this pivotal time in their young lives so that they not only enjoy their Kinder year, but flourish beyond it.
Our quality program is designed for students aged from four years of age, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8.45 am – 3.05pm each week (term time only). Come and see how St James can support your child to ‘Let their Light Shine.’
